Group Support
We support community groups to get established, survive and thrive by providing help and guidance with paperwork and governance, resources, sourcing funding and finding and training volunteers.
Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) is a charity working in a variety of ways to support the health & wellbeing of communities & individuals.
We work with local groups and charities to provide practical, community-based solutions to social and economic problems and provide a forum for sharing information and knowledge. Our core purpose is to help individuals, particularly at transition points in their lives, improve their mental & physical health and well-being and choose healthier lifestyles. Volunteering and community support services are delivered through our four NCVO accredited Volunteer Centres. We work in Boston, East Lindsey, South Holland and South Kesteven, covering many rural, socially vulnerable & economically disadvantaged communities.
Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) formed during sector re-organisation in 2006, bringing together local volunteer bureau and infrastructure organisations to develop volunteering and social action across the south of the county and was joined by East Lindsey in 2011. Our Articles of Association date back to 1998 and charitable objects include the advancement of education, protection of health and relief of poverty, distress, and sickness.

Accredited Volunteer Centres
We promote the wide-ranging benefits of volunteering through our four accredited Volunteer Centres, matching would-be volunteers with opportunities and supporting volunteer involving organisations to recruit, train and retain volunteers.
Volunteering boosts self esteem, wellbeing, reduces social isolation and is a well proven stepping stone to employment.
Volunteers provide vital depth to services and infrastructure in all of our communities.
Representing Communities and the Voluntary Sector
LCVS strengthens local provider networks and engages with health commissioners to influence commissioning strategies.
We enable, support and represent at networks, forums and advisory groups relevant to our communities and the voluntary sector.
Health and Wellbeing
The Health Trainer service was commissioned in 2008 and led by LCVS in South Kesteven, South Holland and Boston. After the service was decommissioned in 2016, LCVS sought to maintain its legacy and client-led values.
LCVS seeks out opportunities to offer mentoring and support to help people with health and wellbeing problems into volunteering.
We both deliver and support the delivery of community-based health-related projects. These have included drug and alcohol recovery, COPD community support, dementia and diabetes services.
