Line manager is Next Steps in Recovery Service
About the post: This new post offers a unique opportunity to help shape the New Steps in Recovery Service. The service offers therapy using a predominately Person-Centred model, but we bring in other modes and techniques in the service of the client. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a flexible approach rather than a fixed mode of working, with confidence/ experience to integrate where needed as we encourage therapists to work in their way.
As part of this role you will be required to:
- Engage in therapy sessions with clients either online, on the phone or face to face. For this you will be required to have access to a confidential space and a good internet connection for online sessions.
- You will be required to utilise service paperwork, keep up to date appropriate notes and engage in some data collection and input into system.
- You will be required to attend meetings with some travel to different sites where needed.
- You will work closely with the clinical lead regarding referrals, caseloads and trainee therapists.
The successful candidate needs to be able to work independently, manage their caseload, and liaise closely with the clinical lead. They will be required to attend some multidisciplinary and other team meetings when required so any experience in this would be an advantage.
Any experience with this client group, either personally or professionally would be an advantage, as working in this field can have its own particular challenges. The successful candidate will be required to have external supervision (there will be a budget for this). Any supervision training/qualification or experience would be welcome.
The most important aspect of this role is to have an enthusiasm for supporting those who may have multiple barriers in their lives including substance misuse. This is an innovative service, so is at present, looking to collect and collate data in order to evidence its efficacy, so any research interest or experience would be good, but not essential.
