Lincolnshire Community Foundation (LCF) is looking to recruit at least two additional Trustees to help govern the charity, decide on funding to deserving causes and further develop its strategy.

What LCF says about the role:

LCF  is passionate about supporting local good causes and ensuring that the best people are supported to create effective social change.  It seeks out those working tirelessly to support others and ensure that all people in Lincolnshire have the opportunity to flourish in supported and safe neighbourhoods.

Our Trustees work hard and are committed.  We ask for those with bold ideas, knowledge, vision and the ability to think strategically, to give up time to support our foundation in ensuring our money reaches the right places and achieves the maximum impact.  We have an established and effective board and are collectively committed to ensuring that strong governance is a priority and that the charity is properly administered.

The board meets for 2-3 hours bi-monthly at various venues around the County at different times to accommodate those who work.

Profile

We have existing Trustees with a broad mix of skills and experience and would like to build on this by adding at least two people who can strengthen our Board in one and preferably more of the following areas:

  • Accountancy: Following the retirement of one of our longstanding Trustees, it would be beneficial to recruit someone with similar skills and experience. This doesn’t necessarily mean applicants need have an accountancy degree, but may include applicants with a sound business background or a recent graduate with associated skills
  • Reside or work in the South of the County: Having considered the geographical spread of existing Trustees, it’s been acknowledged that efforts should be made to recruit someone who is able to share knowledge and help develop connections in the South of the County.
  • Social Sector Expertise: We are keen to recruit a board member with experience of delivering crucial front line support/activities to local people, someone who understands the part the sector plays in bringing about positive outcomes for people and is able to share that experience and help shape an impact framework

This opportunity is open to all and we will invite those likely to make the strongest contribution over time to become a Trustee.
