Boston Community Transport
Car scheme will help you get where you need to be
If you or someone you know needs extra help to get out of the house – Boston Community Transport could help.
Where regular public transport is not available or not accessible Boston Community Transport provides an alternative.
The service, run by volunteer co-ordinators and drivers, offers a low-cost door-to-door service for people who are unable to access existing forms of transport or where no alternative transport is available.
Boston Community Transport, a registered charity, can be used to visit the doctor, travel to a hospital or clinic, go to a social club or get to an important appointment and covers short and long journeys.
Drivers are happy to wait for clients and, where requested, provide assistance once they get to their destination – from helping them find their way around a hospital to stopping at a shop or chemist for them to pick up anything they need.
Boston Community Transport is always seeking additional volunteer drivers and other volunteer support.
