Around 60 people have already signed up to take part in this year’s Butterfly Hospice Trust’s fundraising  Big Bike Ride – and there’s still time to join them.
Jody Raggo, Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) volunteering officer in Boston and East Lindsey, will be taking part in the event which takes place on Sunday, May 17.

He said: “We often link volunteers with Butterfly Hospice and it’s a fantastic organisation. I’m a keen cyclist and just wanted to support the cause.”

Butterfly Hospice is based in Boston providing care for people with life limiting illnesses.

Whether you’re a novice, intermediate or fancy yourself to be the next Chris Hoy there’s a route for you:

Boston to Lincoln to Boston: 66 Miles/106 km, 9.30am start

Boston to Tattershall to Boston : 28 Miles/45 km , 10.00am start

All routes follow the River Witham along the Water Rail Way marked cycle path.

All routes start and finish at Boston Town Football Club, Tattershall Road, Boston PE21 9LP.

A family fun day in support of the hospice will be taking place between 9am and 4pm on the day at the start point. It will include traditional stalls such as hook-a-duck and a bouncy castle.

Last year around 90 people took part in the bike ride.

To register email or phone the hospice on 01205 311222 to request your registration pack and more information. Team entries are most welcome.
