One-off grants of up to £1,000 and annual grants of £5,000 per year for three years are available to help Louth residents who are in need, hardship or distress.

Louth United Charities administers grants to Louth based organisations. One-off grants of up to £1,000 are available as well as long term grants for a period of up to three years, with a maximum of £5,000 per annum.

The income of the charity is derived from bequests made over the last two centuries by 14 different Louth residents.

Louth United Charities trustees consider requests for grants twice a year, in June and December.

Applicants need to demonstrate how the grant will fulfil the objects of Louth United Charities in providing relief for those in need within the Ancient Parish of Louth.

Each application is considered on its merits and the trustees award variable grants after giving due consideration to the information provided.

The next deadline for applications to Louth United Charities is May 1, 2018.
