Volunteer Champions could help in the production and distribution of leaflets, attend events to talk to others about volunteering and local opportunities, give talks and/or help to arrange events around volunteering.
We’re also looking for Volunteer Mentors to help support people with low confidence or additional needs to take their first steps into volunteering. You could help someone to fill in an application form, meet with representatives of volunteer-involving organisations or accompany them on their first day of volunteering.
Or perhaps you have office skills or would like some office experience? LCVS is also looking for volunteer office assistants to help with tasks such as data input, processing application forms, following up with volunteers to see how they’re getting on and other general office-based tasks.
By helping people into volunteering posts you can be a part of helping community groups to have the people they need to achieve their goals and support individuals to access all the benefits of volunteering including improved confidence, developing new interests or social groups or enhanced experience for CVs.
