Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service

Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) is a charity working in a variety of ways to support the health and wellbeing of communities and individuals.

We work with local groups and charities to provide practical, community based solutions to social and economic problems and provide a forum for sharing information and knowledge.

Coronavirus (COVID 19)

Our Coronavirus page contains useful advice and links to further information for volunteers and groups.

There is also a section on funding available to those charities and organisations helping people affected by the virus.

COVID-19 Announcement

Following the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak we recognise that it is more important than ever that we continue to support the individuals in our communities, and their safety and wellbeing continues to be our main priority.
In line with government guidance issued on 05/11/2020, our staff will be working from home and we have taken the decision to suspend all face to face appointments and move to an email/telephone service for the foreseeable future.

This service will include:
• Weekly check-in telephone calls for social prescribing clients. These calls are designed to reassure and provide assistance with essential needs which may include support to find food or medication delivery services.
• Promotion of national and local initiatives and help for volunteers who want to get involved in their local communities
• Support for local groups and organisations to facilitate community action
• Promotion of and signposting to relevant telephone and online support services available.

We will continue to receive referrals into our services and offer support via our telephone and email services. However, please be aware that post will be collected on a weekly basis and this may result in slower response time.

Group Support

Whatever your area of interest or motivation to become a volunteer, we can support you to find the perfect volunteering role.

Our volunteering support service is also here to help you recruit volunteers for your organisation.

Social prescribing starts with the question, “what is important to you?”

Social Prescribing Link Workers support people to think about their goals, how they can move towards achieving them and the help they need.

Whether your group is well established, just getting going or you have an idea and want to start a new group, our specialist team of community development officers can support you and your community group or organisation with a range of topics.

Community Projects

Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service uses its experience and connections to work with partner agencies and authorities to deliver specific projects and training.

We also have a valued role as a trusted voice to represent our communities in decision-making and policy planning arenas.
