Volunteers helped plant some new raised beds in Central Park adding a lovely splash of colour to the area.  The raised beds were built by Boston Borough Council, the project was organised by Boston Big Local working with Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service, and Anglian Water paid for the plants.  The plants used are drought tolerant so we are hoping they will all thrive and bring colour and interest for years to come.  All plants were purchased from local suppliers and special thanks to Johnsons Garden Centre for all their advice.

A total of 24 volunteers got involved, including people from Scott House.  The project was arranged over several sessions so that we could keep the number of participants involved at any one time to a maximum of six.   The planting scheme was designed by a volunteer.  Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service would like to thank everyone that helped with this project.

Volunteers from the Princes Trust and Scott House will be out litter picking week commencing 19th October as part of the Boston Big Local environmental project.  If you would like to get involved in a volunteer project to help improve the Boston Big Local area, please get in touch with Jackie Lane, email: Jackie.lane@lincolnshirecvs.org.uk.

A huge thank you to the volunteer who took the photos.
