Nominations are now open for new awards ceremony which celebrates all the great things charities have been doing in the East Midlands.

For the first time, charities, social enterprise. volunteers groups and not-for-profit organisations have the opportunity to be recognised for their contributions to their communities in the 2nd East Midlands Charity Awards.

With 14 categories, the awards welcomes entries from Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire. Applicants can make as many applications as they wish and may enter up to five different categories where applicable.

The deadline for entries is Friday, April 3, 2020.

There is a late entry fee of £50 for entries received after the deadline but by the late entry deadline of April 7.

The objections for the awards are:

  • To promote and raise awareness and profiles for our charities and not-for-profit organisations.
  • To honour, recognise, celebrate and promote outstanding professionals and best practices within our charities.
  • The awards are aimed at recognising and showing appreciation to charities, social leaders and individuals across the sector who have made a positive impact; giving opportunities, refuge, care and guidance for some of our community’s most affected.

The judging process will take place on the week beginning April 5 and finalists will be notified on Tuesday, April 14.

They will be invited to the awards ceremony and dinner which will take place on Friday, June 12.
