Community groups have until January 1, 2020 to apply for a share of the £18,000 which remains to be allocated from The Grange Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund in the current funding year.

Not for profit organisations operating within a ten mile radius of The Grange Wind Farm site (near Tydd St Mary) can apply for a grant of up to £5,000.00 (priority will be given to worthy projects within five miles).

Previous successful applicants can re-apply for funding, provided they have spent their existing grant and reported upon it.

The Grange Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund gives around £30,000 per year to local projects that meet the fund criteria: community cohesion, young people, old people and community facilities. Projects that would be considered for funding include those delivering diversionary and/or educational activities for young people, support for meeting places such as community centres, village halls, playing fields (but not for running costs, unless this relates to something new), energy efficiency schemes, projects for older people or carers that help tackle isolation or loneliness.

The process is straight forward and staff are available to answer questions, give advice or simply have a chat with you about a project you think may be eligible to apply. To obtain an Application Form or discuss your project in more detail, please contact Sue Fortune on 01529 305825 or download details from the grants page at
