Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service is delivering a new project in Boston to support women into work.
The New Horizons project is funded, sponsored and managed collaboratively by Bishop Grosseteste University, Education & Skills Funding Agency, Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership and the European Social Fund.
Recognising the issues faced by ‘older’ women, the project is designed to support those over 45, that would welcome some tips and support to find paid work.
Participants need to be available to meet at a venue in Boston town centre, two half days a week for six weeks. It will be a small group of just 6 people including the course co-ordinator, in a relaxed informal environment, concentrating on ‘real’ issues, no tests or assessments but some helpful learning….with a little laughter along the way!
The 6-week course will cover advice and guidance on physical and mental wellbeing, building self-confidence, managing change, goal setting & planning, with the focus on job readiness.
The first group start week commencing 2nd November, further groups will be scheduled for next year.
