National Volunteers’ Week 2019 is fast approaching and now’s the time to get organised for this annual celebration of the work volunteers do.

This year the event runs from June 1-7 and the National Council for Voluntary Organisations has created some resources, such as a poster and Facebook banner, for organisations to download and use to promote the event.

The National Volunteers’ Week website also includes a library of inspiring volunteering stories and a calendar of events being held across the country to mark the occasion and celebrate the contribution made by the county’s thousands of volunteers.

Organisations are invited to submit details of their events as soon a possible in order to benefit from the national publicity National Volunteers’ Week attracts.

Each year, Volunteers’ Week reaches more people in new and exciting ways.

The success of the week is all down the people and organisations who are loud, grateful and unapologetic about recognising the great stuff volunteers do.
