Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service has been held up as an “exemplar” for its work.
The praise came from the chairman of NAVCA, the national body for local voluntary sector support and development organisations, following a meeting with LCVS chief executive David Fannin.
Chairman John Tizard followed the meeting with a message to Mr Fannin, saying: “I am impressed by your sustained relationships with and funding – financial and in kind – from the local authorities.
“This is exemplar and others could learn from it.”
Mr Tizard said he had also been interested to learn how LCVS operates across a large geography and such a diverse set of communities.
Mr Fannin said: “We are delighted by this endorsement and would like to thank those portfolio holders and councillors at county and district level for their continued support.”
