Patients are being reassured that nothing will change during the process to find a new provider at The Sidings Medical Practice in Boston.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services (LCHS) are currently providing services at surgery under a short-term caretaking contract, which is due to end on September 30, 2020.

Lincolnshire East Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will undertake a full procurement to find a new provider, to ensure the continuation of primary health care services within the area.

In the meantime, patients have been told that there will be no changes to the surgery opening hours.

As part of the procurement, the CCG will engage with patients, their families and carers to find out their views, before a full procurement process to find a new provider commences.

Two patient engagement events are to be held to give patients an opportunity to shape what services are offered as part of the new contract.

These will be held at the Len Medlock Voluntary Centre, St. George’s Road, Boston, PE21 8YB, on:

  • Monday, 13 January 2020, 1:30pm – 3:30pm
  • Thursday, 16 January 2020, 6:00pm – 8.00pm

In addition to the events, a patient survey will launch today, to gather the views of our patients, to help secure local GP services that meet patient needs.

The survey can be completed online via this Link:

Paper copies are also available in the practice, or by telephoning 01522 515309.

The closing date for completion of the survey is 30 January 2020.
