The Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service Community Initiative Connector is there to support local Covid Response volunteer groups through the Pandemic.

We know that voluntary groups have been set up in response and over the past year have morphed to the needs of their local community. Many groups have found themselves offering services that were beyond their original remit. Others want to develop their services, yet they may not know how to take it from the initial concept to development. That is where the Community Initiative Connector is able to help.

The Community Initiative Connector is here to support and nurture the leaders of each group with Covid related services and information. This may be to help provide structure and protocols of a new befriending service, or it maybe to share safeguarding, lone worker policies or even have more of a virtual presence on social media. Whatever your plans are for your group, the CIC will be able to assist you.  Providing this support allows the group leaders to spend time supporting, rather than being stuck behind a desk.

The CIC also enables groups to connect with each other and build a county wide support network. This is a valuable resource, allowing group leaders to share what has worked and what hasn’t worked. Group sessions are held monthly, through the private Facebook group for voluntary leaders at where you can also find the latest information regarding government policies which may affect your group. If you have a question, you will also have direct out of hours support from your Community Initiative Connector.

Your Community Initiative Connector will also be able to signpost you on to the LCVS area manager to ensure that you are accessing the full range of support and services that LCVS can offer you.
