Bennington Community Heritage Trust are looking for additional Trustees to join their team and are especially interested in people with knowledge and expertise in any of the following – Volunteer Management, Heritage Projects, Event Planning or Law and who are able to give a few hours per week to the project.
Benington Community Heritage Trust (BCHT) was set up with the aim of re-opening the church of Benington, All Saints, a Grade I listed building as a community, heritage and events centre. The Trust succeeded in raising the £2.3 m for the conservation and adaptation of the building – obtaining funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund – and, in December 2018, building work to create the Beonna at All Saints was completed.
The Trust is now engaged in establishing the Beonna as a high-quality venue for meetings, events, exhibitions and Community & Heritage projects in Lincolnshire.
To help us succeed, we are looking for additional Trustees to join our team and are especially interested in people with knowledge and expertise in any of the following – Volunteer Management, Heritage Projects, Event Planning or Law – who are able to give a few hours per week to the project.
Being a Trustee is very rewarding. Attending Board Meetings, you will be involved in setting the future direction of the Beonna and will have the satisfaction of knowing you are playing a significant part in enhancing the offering for our local community, attracting visitors to the area as well as preserving an important listed building for future generations.
This is a leadership role where Trustees oversee the running of the Beonna – providing strategic advice and direction – and ultimately being responsible for the general control and management of the administration of Benington Community Heritage Trust.
