A charity which provides palliative care at its hospice in Boston is looking for community fundraisers to help it continue its vital work.

The Butterfly Hospice relies on the generosity of local people to help raise the £1million it needs each year to help those with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

It is looking for volunteers to work within the local community in Boston and Spalding to raise the profile of the Butterfly Hospice and be proactive in fundraising events.

Volunteers will also be required to take responsibility for small scale local fundraising events and help to identify other potential volunteers.

The roles also involve attending monthly meetings to update others on the progress of planned events and following up action points identified during meetings.

Butterfly Hospice, which also provides short-term respite care, is looking for people who are:

  • Trustworthy and Security aware
  • Reliable and conscientious
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Able to work with others and alone or with limited supervision
  • Good customer service skills, a professional manner and a smart, clean appearance are essential

A driving licence would be good, but not essential.
