Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service is working with Anglian Water to help residents to save water. 

 

Why do we need to save water? Water is a precious resource, and we are fortunate that we have easy access to clean, running water by simply turning the tap on. But we need to look after this precious resource. Our region is one of the driest in the country. We each use 136 litres every day for washing, cleaning, cooking, drinking, and flushing the toilet.

 

For this competition, we are asking children to draw a picture of a Water Saving Hero along with a water saving message to help us raise awareness of the importance of using water wisely and to be in with the chance to win a great prize.

 

The competition is open to all primary school age children (age 4 to 11 years) of adults that are customers of Anglian Water, who live in Boston and the surrounding area.

The pack includes the competition details, terms and conditions, entry form and drawing sheet. You can also view or download Anglian Water’s water efficiency booklet here, or pick up a paper copy at Boston Library or at St. Botolph’s Church. This will give you lots of ideas on how we can all save water.

 

Entries must arrive with us no later than Thursday 12th January 2023 and must be accompanied by the Water Saving Hero Competition entry form, details of how to return the entries can be found on the form. There will be one winner and two runner-up prizes. The winner will receive a £25 Amazon voucher and a bag of environmentally friendly goodies, and two runners up will each win a £10 Amazon voucher and a bag of environmentally friendly goodies.
