Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service is recruiting new Trustees to enhance the skills and knowledge base of its Board of Directors.

Lincolnshire CVS plays a pivotal and important role as the Local Infrastructure Organisation for the south, south-west and east of the county.  We support 100’s of local groups with practical support for community development so that they can focus their energy on making a difference with the people in their communities.  We are the accredited Volunteer Centre operator for this area and champion volunteering as a force for positive action.  We are the largest provider of social prescribing link worker services in the county and a vital partner for local government and the NHS on resilience planning, levelling-up capacity building and transforming health and social care.

Lincolnshire CVS has experienced rapid growth due to social prescribing, levelling up and covid and we want to ensure that this is sustained. Our focus is on delivering well-resourced professional services supported by excellent governance, management and leadership, accountability and evidence of impact.

LCVS Trustees understand the principles and practice of good governance. They have a deep commitment to community, tackling inequalities and ensuring our work supports growth and removes barriers to wellbeing.  We are seeking individuals who will guide Lincolnshire CVS business planning period and strengthen the mix of skills and experience on the board. We are looking for individuals with and a drive to improve the lives of the people across Lincolnshire.

We are particularly interested in people with skills and experience in:

  • Understanding communities, inequality and barriers to participation
  • Marketing, Public Relations and campaigning
  • Financial management
  • Service delivery in Health and Social Care
  • Organisational development and impact analysis
  • Developing business and community relationships
